DURAPERF Perforating Products

DURAPERF Perforating Strips and Wheels allow perforating, scoring or creasing operations to be carried out during the printing process. Both Offset and Centre Perf styles are available as well as Perforating Wheels.

APPLICATION

Perforating and Scoring can be carried out during the printing operation, on the smaller sheet fed press, with the use of DURAPERF Perforating Strips and Perforating Wheels on both Paper and Card.

Polyester, double sided, clear adhesive tape is supplied for fitting.

HOW TO USE

There are a number of methods of applying Perforating Rules to the Impression Cylinder but ensure any grease or oil is removed and the surface is dry before application and that a Cylinder Jacket is fitted. To apply the Perforating Strips directly to the Impression Cylinder:
• Ink and turn one printing cycle without paper to transfer the image to the Cylinder
• Measure and cut the rules to the required lengths
• Remove the paper backing to expose the adhesive surface
• Align the rule on the Cylinder using the printed image as a guide
• Press down firmly on the rule and secure in position with the clear adhesive tape
• Adjust (back off) impression pressure making sure that press parts clear the rule
• The fitting of a used printing blanket may be preferred in the event that rule leaves an impression after use
