DURASUCKER Underpacking and
Manillas
The development of the compressible
blanket and today’s requirements for finer print quality, demand
highly performing underpacking products to guarantee optimum
performance.
The range of underpacking products, manufactured for print
applications, has been developed to enable today’s printers to
easily change the diameters of the plate and blanket cylinders in
order to adjust the pressure necessary for ink transfer.
RANGE
DURAPACK Manilla Underpacking sheets are colour coded to distinguish
the different thicknesses and sizes.
Multiple sheets can be used together to obtain correct thickness.

APPLICATION
DURAPACK Underpacking for control of the pressure for ink transfer
and to compensate for different thicknesses between the printing
blanket and the printing plate. Underpacking Sheets are fitted in
the gap between the blanket / plate and the blanket / plate
cylinder.
Available as calibrated press packing paper (manilla paper) or
plastic polyester film.

UNDERPACKING
RANGE
Available in the following in both self adhesive and non
adhesive format for use on both offset and web presses. Non adhesive
sheets are fitted with clipping bars on most Heidelberg and Komori
presses or simply folded and held onto the cylinder.
QUALITY
• Non-compressible material to facilitate accurate measurement of
the thickness required. All rolls and sheets are printed with
thickness in microns.
• Durable, stable shape, anti-static properties and water resistant.
• Protects the cylinder against corrosion due to reduced capillary
action of liquids between packing and cylinder.
• Use of a single self adhesive DURAPACK Polyester Underpacking
sheet will help to avoid blanket movement during printing -
especially beneficial on high speed sheet fed and web offset
presses.

DURAPACK Polyester Underpacking is available in rolls, 1300mm x 50
metres, or cut to sheet size (minimum 10 sheets per size) in a blue
material in adhesive (AA), adhesive mat (MT - non slip grade for web
presses) and non adhesive (WA) formats.

• The range of colours with their own matching thicknesses (mm)
are: cinnamon brown (0.015), white (0.023), ivory (0.035), snowwhite
(0.05), light blue (0.075), grain (0.1), light brown (0.125), brown
(0.15), rose (0.175), green (0.2), golden (0.25), lemon (0.3), blue
(0.4), grey (0.5).
• The below sizes are standard cut stock sizes and can be ordered in
quantities of 10. Other sizes are available at an additional charge
for conversion. |
QUALITY
Ink Duct Foil
• Manufactured to original drawing specifications from topgrade PET
material
• Resin suppliers include the approved manufacturers Hoecsht and Du
Pont
• No DURAFOIL Ink Duct Foils are manufactured from recycled
polyester or from polyester from a non-certified source
• Due to the different expectations of today’s printer in terms of
quality, performance and cost, DURAFOIL Ink Duct Foils have been
developed in the following qualities:
• Permanently formed for a secure and exact fit
• Maximum chemical, thermal and mechanical strength for long life
